I would like to get 2 JP1-modified (and reprogrammed) sony TiVo remotes - the kind used with the Sony SVR-2000 Tivo - I believe it's the Sony RMT-V303 (see this link: http://www.dvdremotecontrols.com/Mfrs/Sony/SonyDSS/RMT-V303.htm)
I can also supply the remotes if it is easier for you. I have read all about the modifications required to add a JP1 port and load in new codes, but I'm just not skilled enough or patient enough to do it myself.
This remote needs to be set up to work with a TiVo-branded series II box, along with volume and mute for a Sony ES series A/V receiver. I'd also like to get a cable and the necessary SW in case I ever need to restore the codes.
Yes, I realize there are lots of JP1-ready remotes out there I could buy, but the wife is very comfortable with her current remote and it's the only way we're getting a series II in the house...
Please respond if interested with your price, turnaround, and a reference or two.
Thanks! |

I can mod the remotes for you, but I warn you in advance, it won't be cheap. It takes 2 to 3 hours per remote to do the mod.
Once you get the remotes, it would be up to you to do the programming using your JP1 cable. _________________ Rob

Rob,
Thanks for your reply.
Drop me a line at jim AT tangibility DOT com and let me know what you think it will cost for your time for 2 remotes.
