re: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133761

The poster in the thread linked above needs Pronto Hex for the Windows Media Center. Seeing as how we know what this signal looks like, do we know how to create Pronto Hex for it?

I know I could probably figure this out myself but I don't have the time, so I'm throwing it out there in case any other good samaritan does have the time.

I'm always confused over which "Media Center" is which.

There seem to be a few different PC Media Center things with different remote control standards.

The most common seems to be the Microsoft one using the distorted version of RC6.

I assume that's the one you mean.

MakeHex has full support for that protocol and there have been a few threads at RC discussing how to use MakeHex for that (with certain choices depending on which of several methods you select for dealing with the toggle bit).

I replied above before reading the message Rob linked to. Now I'm replying here because I don't feel like registering there at the moment.

I doubt he'll want to generate better Pronto Hex to address the problem. The simpler, more popular solution is the registry entry fix documented here
