|
|
So some time ago, Rob posted an upgrade file for the Roomba line of robotic vacs.
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=236
I downloaded this and put it into my Nevo just fine, however, this "Manual Protocol" 01 60 does not have a MAX610 counterpart, so it doesn't work in the 6540.
I downloaded Protocol Builder, but there is no output version for the MAX610 processor. I tried editing the values in "Edit Protocol" in the device upgrade in RMIR with no luck being able to edit. I looked for pronto files I may be able to import into IRScrutinizer, but no luck.
I tried using the Atlas programming in KM since it supposedly had this processor, but it still shows as SC80.
I learned the commands to the Nevo and they weren't recognized as anything.
So, am I correct in assuming an entirely new protocol must be built for the MAX processors for this to work?
I'm happy to put in the time, but need a bit of direction.

Actually, Hal created that, I just copied it over from the Yahoo file section. I just looked at the Protocol Builder file for it and it doesn't have any assembler in it, it just uses the basic PB settings, so in theory it should be easy to create a MAXQ610 version, but PB doesn't support MAX610 and I've never looked at a MAXQ610 executor, so I don't know the format. _________________ Rob

Thanks, Rob, for having a look.
Perhaps Mathdon can offer some advice -- again, I'm glad to put it together, but will require some guidance to get going.
Thanks!
