Is it possible to program the Xfinity X! remote (version U2) to control a Samsung Soundbar (model HW-H550)? Comcast does not publish any codes for soundbar audio devices? Looking for a 5-diget code but am willing to learn how to program manually, if I know it can be done.
Thanks for you help - I am new to this board. |

AFAIK, there isn't any Samsung36 48.0 built into the remote, so the only way to accomplish this is with a cable.

None of the uei remotes that i know about have a code that can operate the bar without adding one via cable. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Vicky,
I doubt that a Xfinity X1 or X2 remote is has a JP1 connector. Bill, can you look inside the battery compartment to see if there is a 6 pin connector? |

Thanks for the correction. I thought this would be a newer 3 device remote, didn't realize it was one that can't do more than control TV power and volume. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

The Comcast X1 remote (version U2) does not have a plug in the battery compartment. I get the feeling that buying a universal remote is my only option. Looking for a recommendation for one that has RC (for hidden Xfinity STB) and IR for TV and soundbar. Thanks |
