Those of you who are smarter than me may have already figured this out, but I recently had an experience with my Insignia NS-RC02U-10A back-lit remote. I hadn't been using it for a while and when tried to use it again, it blinked six times each time I hit a button on it. There are enough moving parts on this thing since I'm using the extender, that it took me while to figure out what was going on. Eventually, I picked up another one that I have, moved the batteries over to that one, and it did the same thing! Finally, the light dawned. The remote was trying to tell me that the batteries were down enough that it couldn't light the back light. I put in new batteries and all was well. I did look some to see if this was documented, but I didn't find it. Hopefully, this will do someone some good someday. |

Battery
All of the JP1.3 remotes do this. When the battery hits a specified level, the remote will blink multiple times every time you press a button. The remote will still work, but it's somewhat annoying (and usually serves its purpose to make me put fresh batteries in the remote) _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |
