I try to load this file into my 8811.
Everything goes swimmingly, the remote blinks twice signifying the end of the upload.
But, the code 2000 has not been entered (in AUX as I replied to the question). A download also shows that 2000 is not in AUX or anywhere else. I also tried putting it in VCR, but that didn't play either.
What am I doing wrong? I had no trouble adding the SIR-T160 code to the 8811.
Thanks for any help. _________________ Jim S |

Jim, if you re-read your post you'll see that you haven't given us anything to work with here, so there's no way we can diagnose your problem. However, I bet if you were to load your IR.exe file into the Diagnosis Area (and then link to it please) we'll spot your mistake in seconds. _________________ Rob

I suspect you don't mean to send the ir.exe file as you said, as it is just the file downloaded from this file section.
I imagine you meant the file I'm trying to upload to my 8811.
8811+sir-t160+RPTV.txt
I'm not sure how to link to it, but I'll poke around.
Here is the url, but I don't know how to make it a link
http://f6.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/wNc2QPpJrxoAQx_gzTxpXIxXRtY8DZG5uwsKMtSMijnavq0Sg0mcCmc4vIz-GHp8WG9RP70KjebTWzozeySblcollmRDKY0/Diagnosis%20Area/8811%2Bsir-t160%2BRPTV.txt
Ah it turned out to be a link after all.
As I said earlier, I uupload the file, the 8811 blinks twice indicating the end of an upload, but it doesn't get uploaded as there is no 2000 code anywhere when I download from the 881 after the upload.
Thanks for any help.
Enjoy your vacation.
