I suggest that you read and comply with this prominently placed and threateningly labelled post..

Then I suggest you look here. In particular at the first site linked therein.

Sorry - I haven't been to the site in awhile(Everything was working good) - I forgot there was a standard template - I will edit.

I've already reviewed the Sony codes list prior to posting and the info I needed wasn't there.

Thanks,

Are you sure 372 (0372) is the correct code that works ?
edit: also, which of TV/0372 - AUD/0372 etc...is it ?

I only ask because that doesn't seem to be a code the Sony site linked above knows anything about.

Nor does it seem to use a Sony protocol, according to Devices.xls, from the file section here. (In fact devices.xls doesn't think that code is even in a URC 6131)

Did you try any other Sony codes from the manual or the site linked above ?

The One for All Site lists these codes for Audio receivers(Sony) on a URC6131

1058 1258 1158 0158 1558 1658 1758

Sorry if these sound like silly questions, but it's a little confusing - I can't find any reference to 0372 as a Sony code (but maybe I haven't looked hard enough or smart enough...)

edited for typos...

Judging from the amps/rcvrs which I could find on the "Sony Codes" site:

You could try

EFC: 113/105
or
EFC 109/101

for discrete on/off

(unless you already did)

I'm sorry - I should clarify a bit more. I am actually trying to program a URC-300 Customizer remote(Non JP1) - and in their codes it lists AUD372 as a Sony Code and it works for the basic functions. I also have a URC-6131 JP1 remote which I would like to use to to teach the URC300 the Descrete On and Off. what really complicates things is Sony's AV1 and AV2 Command mode which actually means there's 2 sets of remote codes. According to RemoteCentral.com AV1 is the mode the receiver needs to be in to use universal remote codes, but my URC-300 grabbed the 372 code for AV2 - Would not find any AV1 codes(which is odd). In Sony's infinite wisdom, they make it so you can switch the receiver between AV1 and AV2, but the OEM remote(which has some very unique buttons) cannot be switched over to AV1 Command mode, so I am in bit of a quandry since to properly set up a remote I am going to need some learning buttons, as well as JP1 upgrades. The STR-DG series of receivers have been out for a bit, but I have not seen any upgrades here yet, so I believe I need to make one from scratch, but its a bit tricky without being able to use the OEM remote and the URC-6131 is not a learning remote.

Has anybody had experience with the DG series of receivers(Possible upgrades)

Thanks,

if you were to get OFA remote that takes 5 digit advanced codes, you will find 5 digit advanced codes for discrete ON & OFF in this thread.

Remotes that take these advaned codes include urc-6820, 8820, 10820, and 6690.

The URC remote model that replaced the urc300, the RF30 has on fourth page under aud code 372, P-ON & P-OFF commands preset.

Edmond:
You were right that Sony 1758 works for this receiver in AV2 mode for my URC-6131 extended(I disabled the extender to try the standard URC6131 codes). So now that I need to find an upgrade that is based on Sony 1758 I am finding that is not necessarily simple to do a reverse lookup since the upgrades are listed by models(which I don't know) -Did some searching with no luck- Am I missing somethng in my thought process.

Thanks for your help

You can try any of the Sony receiver upgrades in the files section that use the Sony 12/15 protocol.

For AV1, use Device1=16, Device2=144.

For AV2, use Device1=48, Device2=176.
