I search a way to make a complete backup of my 7780 memory without IR, because some functions like device renaming or macros are not good interpreted by IR.

If you hide the RDF file, then IR will complain when you download from the remote, but it won't change any of the raw data it downloaded and it will let you save an .ir file, which will have an exact image of the remote's memory.

If you think the rdf file or ir.exe is interpreting something wrong in the 7780, that is the best way to make a backup.

is it possible at this time to restore this backup ?
