Hello all!
I want to create a .wav upgrade for 8206 remote from the RM or KM upgrade file I already have. The problem that I do not have/own this 8206 remote, so I cannot read it in IR.
Is it generally achievable and what steps I should follow?
Thanks!

ir.exe -> file -> new, select URC 8206, buildt your upgrade and then ir.exe -> file -> Export to Wav
This should do the trick, but you must have java installed.

Next question
How can I convert S3C8+ Protocol Code to HCS08 code?
It seems I cannot just load the old upgrade into RM and change the Remote name from 2116 to 8206.
Thanks again

Actually, that's exactly what you do. That'll work as long as the upgrade uses an official protocol, however, if the upgrade uses a hand made protocol in "manual settings" mode, RM won't know how to convert it to HCS08. But of course, I'm just speculating here as you haven't supplied any information about which upgrade file you wish to convert.

Hi Rob
You know

This is about the protocol upgrade you created for me some time ago - Amino STB. Now I'm trying to convert it for a friend who has 8206. Can you help me again? What should I do?
Thanks
Andrew

This is the link to the old thread regarding Amino upgrade:

I will appreciate if Robman or somebody else will convert it for HCS08.
Thank you!

Wouldn't you just load the protocol into the protocol builder and then change the processor setting to get the same protocol for the other processor? I haven't tried it yet, but I am planning to with my Comcast remote with the protocol that Rob did for me for my Bose Wave radio.
