IR 7 Beta 2, upload error with JP1.x

I finally got a JP1.x cable and am trying it on a Comcast URC-1067BG1. I can download, but when I try to upload, I get the following error:
Access violation at address 004B647C in module 'ir.exe.' Read of address 00D42AC0.
The remote shows a reset (blinks twice), but it's not updated (I downloaded my original setup, did a 981 reset, then tried to restore.)
Any clues? Is it because there is no matching .RDF file yet?
It's a 1.x interface (not the newest 1.2 only) with two extra resistors and a capacitor, and a trace cut. I'm running Win2K.
