I was trying to learn some button from my Onkyo SR 2.2 (remote is RC-484M) HTIB (DVD/Receiver combo) and was able to see some simple learns in IR for Vol+, Vol-, Mute etc. However, one of the buttons give the following and I have no clue how to put it in RM:

Raw Signal Information
Frequency 37558

Sent Once When Key is Pressed.
+9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -96580 +9052 -2260 +558 -130512

Any ideas? Thank you.

It helps if you describe what the function in question is.

In any event, I can't decode a signal by hand - experts sometines can, but since you have such clean decodes of the previous buttons, have you compared it to any of the Onkyo upgrades in the file section? The porotocol, device, subdevice and OBCs for the Vol+. Vol-, and mute functions all match exactly(NEC1 vs. NEC2 - but that's not unusual), so you should likely be able to use one of the files in the file library already.

As for your learn, it may simply be a bad learn - weak batteries, poor technique, you jostled one remote or the other during the learn - lots of reasons possible.

Or it may be a signal so different from the rest, that it uses a protocol not in our current version of decodeir.dll - make sure you are using the latest version. (unlikely)

Or it may be a completely new signal using a hertofore unidentified protocol, but based on the first three learns, I suspect not.

Anyways, rather than resorting to an expert's painful manual decodes of signals, you might want to try one the files I mentioned above first to see if it has what you're looking for.

Capn,
Thanks for all the info. I tried the only two Onkyo files (Onkyo TX-SR502.rmdu, Onkyo DV-SP301 DVD.rmdu) I could find and I was planning on using one and adding the above learned button to it but I am not able to use the information I got above.

Capn, You are right, bad transfer. I got a clean decode after retrying.

I know just from looking at the learn times what it is. This device obviously uses the NEC1 protocol and for those that don't know, the NEC1 protocol sends the data portion just once then it just sends the leadin and leadout times for as long as the button is held. What you posted was the leadin/leadout pairs, which means that you started pressing the OEM remote button before the JP1 remote was ready to learn.
