JP1 Remotes

Given the way that the 9960 eats batteries, I was wondering if anyone had thought of a way of creating a docking station for it that could charge let say some AA NiMH cells.

I am not aware of any. I am also not sure if it is doable post production either. If I recall correctly, devices with docking stations for charging isolate the charging circuit so the higher input does not get to the device itself.

You could consider trying to patch in a charger to a cheaper remote and see if it works without frying the electronics. If it does not then something like that could be done with a Kameleon.
