Mark has just released version 6.20 of IR.exe This new version addresses the problems encountered with some remotes that have 4k EEPROMs installed, such as the BJ5 version of the URC-9960B01 Kameleon.

A new feature has been added where you can specify whether your EEPROM is 4k or larger. To activate this feature, go to the Advanced menu item and select "Always Display EEPROM type".
When you do this, a set of radio buttons will appear below the "Download From Remote" button on the main "General" tab. The radio buttons have the following three options...
1) Auto Detect EEPROM Type
2) Force <= 2k
3) Force >= 4k
Most users should leave it set to Auto Detect. However, if you have a remote, such as the URC-9960 or the URC-8060, that has a 4k EEPROM installed and the Auto Detect mode cannot handle it properly (the most common symptom is that the data is wrapped around causing the "no data in signature" message), then select "Force >= 4k" and try to download again.
If you don't have the "Always Display EEPROM type" option selected, you can also select your EEPROM type from the Interface menu item.
