Icom's RC-12 Remote Control for IC-R7000 Comm. Receiver (?)

Hi Gang!
I have another off the wall remote control request.
I have an Icom Inc. Communication Receiver IC-R7000 which I had forgot that originally came with a remote control... I lost it a long, long time ago and kinda got used to not having it.
The Remote Control model RC-12, does anyone has the codes for it? I would be happy just to be able to turn the receiver on/off, control the volume and be able to enter the channel numbers (and, sure, why not, change the oil in my car!!

just kidding!)
Thanks!
Jose

I doubt that anyone here has the codes learned as it's such an unusual device, so I think you need to put some feelers out there on the WWW to see if you can borrow a remote from another owner.
You could start by contacting some of the people who wrote reviews on the eham.net site. You could also post something over in the Pronto forum at R/C. better yet, try searching their archives to see if anyone's ever posted a message about one of these.
[EDIT]I have posted a request for this myself in the
Pronto Forum, at the
Icom Classic group and at
eham.net
In the meantime, I'll see if UEI has a code for it.
Check
this ebay listing for an extreme close-up of the unit.

Good news, someone from the Icom Classic group has come forward. They have the original RC-12 remote and are willing to send it to me so I can capture the signals.

I was wondering why we hadn't heard from you. It'll be interesting to see what sort of signals it uses, specifically if it uses some standard protocol like NEC, etc or some weird protocol that we'll need to use PB to replicate.

Yeap, you are good with google!!

Rob sent me a copy of the learned signals from that remote (which matches nothing I've seen before). It's pretty simple, so I think he is nearly done with the task.
