Looking for volunteers

As some of you may already have noticed, we're developing a new file section over here at hifi-remote.com to replace the Yahoo group file section, but we have ALOT of files over there, so I'm looking for volunteers to help me move them.

I've already captured all the file names, file descriptions, user ids, etc for all of the Device Upgrade files and I've already downloaded everything from the DVD folder. My intent is to write some code that will upload all the files into the new database somewhat automatically.

What I need help with is downloading all the existing files, as this can be a time consuming process. Like I said, I've already done the DVD folder, which is probably the biggest folder, though the Audio folder might top it. So, if anyone here would like to help out, could you download all the files from any of the other device upgrade folders.

Before you start downloading, please post something here to say which folder you're gonna download, so no-one else does the same one. When you're done, please zip the files together and email them to me at rob1 (at) rockabilly (dot) net.

Thanks.

OK, I've just done the following folders, so don't worry about those:

Video Selectors
Laser Discs
Tape
DVD (Apex)
Keyboards

I'm about to start the CD folder.

Will do more if/when I have time (after posting which ones here of course).

I'll get the PVR folder.

There is a great extension for Firefox called Download Them All. It lets you download all of the links on a web page. You can filter by extension. For the PVR folder, I just set it to download any link with a .txt or .zip extension. Done in about 30 seconds.

Satellite, TV, and UEI folders are done. I've also sent updated versions of the HDTV and Home Theater Systems folders. I forgot to include files with a RMDU extension.

I'll download the rest of the DVD folder. It looks like Rob only got the Apex sub-folder. Is that correct, Rob?

No, I got the main DVD folder before I even posted this (at least, the KM files)

OK. I misunderstood your original note. Please ignore my DVD file in your email inbox.
