JP1 Remotes

I need the setup code for my Zenith TV Model A25A23W which was manufactured in 1999. For some reason I am not able to recover this code thru the normal code search. (Perhaps I'm not patient enough.)
I have tried all of the Zenith codes that I have seen, but perhaps I am not entering them correctly. Does this (Zenith) system use a 3 or 4 digit code?
I have a learning remote, the Radio Shack #15-2104 6 in 1.
I also have the remote that goes with this set. Can I use this remote to 'learn' the codes fron the Zenith remote?
On another matter, I have the CD for MS Office 97, but I dont know the correct authorization code. I want to install only the Excel program on my computer so that I can run the IR program, but I can't install it without the authorization code. Can anyone help me with this? I own the Office 97 program that I got as OEM program on my laptop, but my lapetop has died, and I can no longer use it.

Yes, and to find out what protocol and device it uses you will need a JP1 cable and the latest version of IR.

BTW, you don't need Excel, you can use RemoteMaster instead of KM Master.
