A different Scan Problem

Post by tbsmith »

Searching the archives, I haven't seen anyone mention this problem. My 15-1995 remote is working great (using an extender). But I accidently hit the fav/scan button recently and the device started scanning like it should (even though I have no functions assigned to that button).

Anyway, the problem is I have not found a way to stop the scan. This is the case no matter what device mode I am in. The only solution I found is to remove the batteries. I can find no keymoves or functions assigned to the fav/scan button, and it is apparetnly not native to this remote since it listed in KM with an "@". Any ideas? (I am very low on memory and probably can't do another keymove). I may just disassemble it and put a piece of paper under that key, covering the contacts, if software won't fix it.

Thanks,
Tom

Aplogies, the above response was not meant for this thread but I seem to be getting problems at the moment. (e.g. Prompt me for login constantly, not give the edit button to correct the post, and in this case apparently replying to the wrong message).
