Need new Discrete codes for samsung HLP?

I posted this in the general section then thought I should have posted it here.
The new samsung dlp has changed the discrete codes on the new HLP.
I found a pdf file (It was just linked to in an AVS forum, no Idea where it came from)that references the changes, but I can't make out what these changes mean. It looks like possibly a hex code I used ir to enter these numbers as hex in a key move but I was unsuccessfull.
Some of the changes are...
Per the PDF FILE...
Comp 1 old -- 43 new -- 86 old efc 171
Comp 2 -------- FD ----------88 ---------- 016
DVI -------- FF -------- 8A -------- 018
So somehow 43 converts to efc 171
so I need to know how to convert the new numbers into an efc
Any brilliant help would be appreciated..
Thanks,
Dave

Those numbers are the hex value of the OBC. 43 means OBC=67. 86 means OBC = 134. FD means OBC=253. 88 means OBC=136, etc.
If you were creating an upgrade in KM or RM you could use the OBC directly.
If you need EFCs, you need to know that this protocol uses "LSB Comp" transalation between OBC and EFC. You can the use IR's EFC calculator (from the tools menu).
Type the OBC into the LSB Comp field of the EFC Calculator, then read the EFC.
86 -> 134 -> 190
88 -> 136 -> 061
8A -> 138 -> 063

Just got HLP-4663. Can not get ANT 1B(EFC 251, h27) to function. Others like comp-1, s-vid-1, etc all work OK. I do have a live ANT1 feed. Any suggestions? Seems that other are finding this as well?

Best I can tell, no one has found it on the newer Samsung models. Are you just trying to get that command to switch back to TV. If so, can you put it on a discrete video input and find it with a certain number of video toggles?

There's a whole thread about this at AVS forums. It suggests workarounds for the ones it can't find.

Just in case you missed it and I just skimmed that long thread, it sounds like people are using a macro to go to the last discrete input DVI (I think) and then doing one more video toggle(s) and getting to the TV Tuner.
Since, I don't have the gear, I can only recite what I have read. One of the other problems with Samsung discrete inputs is that in some models it will only go to an input where a video signal present.
So to make one of those macros work, it may take starting at the last input where threre is always a signal and then issuing the requisite number(s) of video toggles to get to tuner.
If that macro concept works, then when you go to an extender the execution of those video toggles will be very fast and, on other brands of displays, people have reported that it is as good as a true discrete command.
