JP1 Remotes

I just got my Mini Box from Cox Cable. I'd like to know what could possibly be the four digit code in order for me to use my One For All URC-6131n Cable/Sat button for it?

Anyone here gotten a chance to fetch the code for this unit?

We have an upgrade for the Cox Mini in the file section.
It needs a NEC1 175.96 signal. Unfortunately there is nothing like this built in to your URC-6131N remote.

If you buy the following cable for $9, you can load the code posted above into your remote:

That cable doesn't have a standard 6-hole connector, it has 6 individual connectors, which you can either connect 1 at a time, if you're just going to use it once, or glue together into the correct formation. The following post gives the pinout:

I think Jay-Jay is hoping to use this with a URC-6131N remote, and that's a JP1 remote. So a serial to JP1 adapter would also be necessary, right?

Doesn't the 6131 need an eeprom added as well?

Yup sorry, when I saw the pic of the remote initially I mentally thought it was a URC-8820, which would work with that cable. The URC-6131N does indeed require an EEPROM and a 6-pin to be added, which is something I can do in less than 5 minutes and I have the parts, but it's not something regular folks probably want to do, plus you need an old fashioned JP1 cable, or an EEPROM adapter

You can say that again! I tried to do this once, and then had three years of remission from this JP1 obsessive/compulsive disorder.
