JP1 Remotes

I am in need of the discrete on/off codes for my Sony Blu-ray player, model BDP-S390/BX39. I have tried 00113 and 00109 but no luck. I am using a Comcast style programmable remote (URC1067Bx3) to teach my Avex R6 remote the discrete function. I am using setup code 20533. This work flow worked on my older Sony DVD player but does not work on new Blu-ray. Any help is much appreciated.

Sony Blu-ray players use Sony20 Device 26.226. 20533 shoots Sony20 26.73, so of course it won't work. The Comcast remote does not have 26.226 built in, so it is necessary to use an interface cable to program it.

Okay thanks for the explanation. I haven't made the leap to using interface cable yet. No more often then I need to program my remote I didn't want to learn any new procedure. Having said all that, is there any other easy work around for teaching my Avex R6 these two discrete commands?

Buy a RCA RCRP05B, use Video (DVD or DVR) 1516 and the same EFCs.
