So I'm paralyzed from the shoulders down and would like to play a PS3 OR XBOX360 but control it from my computer. I use UIRT with IRCommand 2 to control all my other devices. Anyway to use it to control a PS3 or Xbox 360?

I have a SPAWN 720HD from Spawn Labs which allows the functionality of controlling them with your computer. However, they're no longer available since Game Stop acquired them.

As for UIRT control, the Xbox 360 has some IR compatibility but the Playstation is only controllable via Bluetooth, so you'd need some sort of Bluetooth to IR bridge like the Logitech Harmony Adapter for PS3.

Well it looks like the ps3 onlyvworks in movie mode. I found ir commands for the xbox 360 but not sure if it works in game mode and all the game controller buttons don't seem to be there. Wonder if i have to buy an ir receiver too.

The Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote's directional buttons will work as "player 1's" Xbox 360 controller digital D-Pad in certain programs but its not universal. The same thing goes for the X, Y, B, A and Guide buttons, but there are no analog sticks, triggers, or bumper supported by the IR protocol at all.

All I want to do is play franchise mode on madden and simulate. Will the up, down, right, and left arrows work? Can I make different buttons from ir do the triggers and bumper?

Wow, that's quite specific, I take it you're hunting for one of the franchise achievements on Madden. Unfortunately, I don't play sports games, so I don't know what opportunities are available within them to customize the controller settings.

Except for the power on and power off commands, there are no other discrete IR commands for the Xbox 360. The controls on the universal remote are as is, and there isn't away to disguise any of the buttons to act as something not already represented on the X360.

Maybe you should contact Ben Heck, and see if he can come up with something for you.
