Hmm so you have a Panasonic device and we have no upgrade for it. You used the lookup tool and found that Audio 1518 is a Panasonic Combo upgrade with a main device of 160. What that means is that there are a lot more than the basic 256 key codes to search for. Panasonic uses a combination of device/subdevice.

I'd suggest starting with one of the Panasonic upgrades that is using Panasonice Combo with a main device of 160 and then using the Panasonic master to find the rest of the functions you need.

The Pansonic master shows that the panasonic audio files use these device/subdevice combinations 160.000, 160.004, 160.008, 160.010, 160.016, 160.018, 160.020, 160.122, 160.028, 160.034, 160.040, 160.080 and 160.194. These would be a good start. hopefully you'll find everything you need to be It also appears that Panasonic Audio uses some other device subdevice combinations 009.000, 012.000, 018.000, 144.000, 144.001, 144.005 and 176.000. Hopefully you'll find everything you need in the 160 group.

Please post your upgrade when you are finished, so the next guy will have an easier time of it.

Will the 1994 code search protocol work with the 2116? That would make it easier for him...

The EFC search special protocol either does or could be made to work with the 2116, but not for the Panasonic combo protocol. I'm not sure how these older 3 digit EFC remotes work, but it seems that the Panasonic combo protocol requires two byte hex and there's no way to get that with a single byte EFC.

It should be possible to create a unique non-combo Panasonic upgrade for each prospective device/sub-device pair and then use the EFC search protocol to step through all 256 EFCs since the non-combo uses single byte hex and that can be spec'd with a 3 digit EFC. That is, create a normal Panasonic upgrade for 160.000, run the EFC search protocol to step through all of the 256 possibles and then create another normal Panasonic upgrade for the 160.004, search those, rinse and repeat.

I suppose that some enterprising soul could create a combo EFC search protocol that deals with multipe device.sub-device combos, but it would probably have to be for a remote that does 5 digit EFCs I'm guessing.

A.A.

I got all but one function

OK I got it to work but I am missing the Input: Tape function (Does not matter as the cassette deck is Manual control only (Plus I don't use tapes much anymore)

Here is the upgrade file

Thanks to all that helped
