Hi All
Its been a while since i have played with all this stuff so i am vary very rusty.
I have a kameleon URC9964B00 which i would like to add a few functions too.
Due to an operating sytem change and poor back up of files on my part i lost all my files.
I have downloaded all the files (or i think i have) for the modification of my remote.i.e remote master keymap master and IR
I have connected my remote and get the following
Bad checksum at adress $0000 expected $9B $64 but found $4b $41
Also not sure but cannot seem to find the correct RDF for my unit.
The first thing i want to do is download the file off my remote before i start changing things.
Can someone point me where to start again.
Cheers
Redmick

I think you can use the RDF for the 9960 B01
KASAKAS0
http://controlremote.svn.sourceforge.ne ... 0829/rdfs/

I think your remote has a 4k EEPROM chip installed, so make sure that you have the "Force >= 4k" option selected in IR when you download.

If it still doesn't pick the right RDF (assuming you have downloaded and un-zipped the master RDF package), go to Advanced and select "Enable Raw Download" then use the Raw Download button to get your IR image. Then post it here and link to it.

re: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12377

good reply thats very similar to what i want to do.
Due to a pc upgrade i lost my rmdu files (silly me) for all the work i previously did on my three different remotes
And now i want to mod one device to add some functions i will give these directions a go and see how i progress :-)

Well i followed the directions and am getting issuses
When i try to import raw data from IR into Rm i get "unable to import device ugrade"
So i decided to try the RMIR option when i try the download from remote option for my kameleon i get "No RDF matches signature" i have a 9964 which i beleive uses the 9960B01 RDF any ideas as to what might be my issues?
Cheers

I don't recall if RMIR knows that your Kameleon has a 4k EEPROM and needs to be downloaded in a different way than 2k remotes. So, try downloading from the remote using IR, save the file, then open it using RMIR.

maybe my RMIR has not installed properly.
I can open my remote download with IR no worries but when i open it with RMIR the program does nothing it just stays blank??

No actually there must be something to do with that particular IR file as RMIR opens others i have downloaded

Upload the IR file to the Diagnosis Area then post a link to it here.

Interesting, it addition to not being able open that IR file, it seems that the RMIR isn't able to New > Remote Image > URC-9960 B01 One For All Kameleon (KASAKAS0). There is response, so I believe it might be related.

RMIR preview 6 has a problem with the RDF. The [FixedData] section is empty. You might be able to open this file if you delete the [FixedData] section in the RDF.
