Memory Allocation to a Device vs KM Upgrade Device

URC Remote, say the built in TV Sony 0000 and now in KM, you have all the EFC and you created your own upgrade (which is 100% identical) to the built in 0000 of the remote. Which one; built in 0000 Tv code or TV upgrade would have more/less memory space in the remote?

The built_in one is in ROM, so its (ROM) space is used and unchangeable regardless of whether you use it and regardless of whether you override it with an upgrade.
The upgrade one uses space in eeprom, if you install it.

The built-in doesn't consume any memory (EEPROM) since it's, well, built-in (the built-in codes are burned into the remotes ROM, and cannot be accessed, changed, etc)). An upgrade, even if identical to the built-in, resides in the EEPROM, and therefore consumes space in the Upgrade area.

I am almost full in my move/upgrade section and I thought I could have flow over to the learn memory section? Does the upgrade memory section flows over?

That's what extenders are for.
