Hi
I have used this excellent forum for some time but have never been a contributor. I have sucessfully added 5 upgrades to my newish URC7781 without the aid of a JP1 cable! I tried to upload a couple of RM upgrade files but not sure if I was sucessful as they have not appeared in the list.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me what I need to do.

I couldn't find any files loaded by jimmc either.
To publish the files, you just need to upload the files to the appropriate group. You need to follow the prompts. Entering the descriptions. I know that Rob has blocked RAR files, but RM files should not be a problem as they are well within size limitations.

That's right, there's no approval process here, so when you upload a file it should appear right away (as long as it's not an RAR file).

Could you let us know what version of IR.exe you were using? You must have been creating WAV files so I think you must have used at least IR 8.00 Beta 7 (or just possibly Beta 6) as WAV files created for the URC-7781 with earlier versions had a problem that caused the download to the remote to fail. If I am right it is a very helpful confirmation to me that this WAV file generation is now behaving correctly.

IR Version 8.00 Beta 8.
My experience has been a 90% first attempt sucess rate, uploading wav files. Sometimes 2 attempts required but eventual success with all uploads.

Many thanks, Jimmc. WAV uploads can be a bit temperamental so I'm not surprised that you didn't get 100% success on first attempt, but if you always succeeded in the end, it means that I got the data right.
