Still on the "to do list"...
As I now have the power of the physical box constantly on it is not an acute problem. But I will try... What would be more interesting is to find the "record" button...

Hi alanrichey,
I have the exact same problem as carl.sundvik@telia.com as I also live in Sweden and have an Arris VIP2853 box. I have tried following the link you provided for carl.sundvik@telia.com but there is no file to donwload. If you would provide me with the bin file needed to make my Slingbox understand my Arris VIP2853 box I would be forever grateful.

I never released it as we didn't find the record button code and we don't know if the Power button works. Perhaps you could test them for me ?

Everything including the Power button works flawlessly. I must thank you sir for without your help the Slingbox would have been bricked forever.
Even the Record button works making the app Telia provided unnecessary.
I will keep this file forever.

Back in Sweden and tried to reinstall with booth the RV and PL files. Same result with booth alternatives - as far as I can see. The power button works fine now, but the record button still refuses to give any reaction. If you are willing to give it a go I could mail you my id and login? I have a flat in Stockholm where I have a brilliant cableservice - that is where I have the Arris device. Now they are installing a cable where I have my permanenet home in Skanor - and if I can read the information right we will probably have a Arris VIP here as well... Today we have a ADSL connection which gives a rather "unsharp" picture over our Slingbox from Skanor - but we can record programs that we miss. So to find the record button is even more important now...

OK, although not sure why you are trying both files, only one will \match your box (as covered in the instructions).
And really there is nothing else I can do. 'merculix' has confirmed that the code for the Record button (33) works for him, so I don't see what I can do to make it work for you.
I suggest you PM him and discuss it between you and try and figure out why it works for him and not you.
