Nah, you're cool, it's the Capn who goofed. While there are 256 possible OBCs per device code for most regular protocols, he forgot that you're talking about the Sony protocol where there's only half of that range.

Well the Sony Remote arrived today.
The allusive code
Sony 15;144 OBC 104
Should I have been able to stumble upon it without resorting to buying the remote itself!? I dunno:
I had been looking for it in a Sony20 protos. For that matter OBC 104 within Sony 15;144 isn't really ID'ed as ANYTHING in rhm's comprehensive Sony tables.
I think it was pretty much a needle in a haystack task so I'm happy with the solution of buying the remote. Now! I've got everything I need from that little piece of hardware...so.... Do I send it back or keep it!!!?
I'm actually tempted to ship it off to Rob for his Obscure Remotes
Remote Museum!

I may have erred earlier in this thread, but I'm pretty sure that although allusive is a word, the word you should be using here is elusive.
allusive: Containing or characterized by indirect references
elusive: : tending to elude: as a : tending to evade grasp or pursuit <elusive prey> b : hard to comprehend or define c : hard to isolate or identify
