What is the exact model of your set-top box? And was there any error messages during the configuration of your Slingbox?

I did not find an exact match; however, I was given "ZyXEL STB-2120S" as a consolation result. Recorded its IR signals with the JP1 tools to create the respective files. BIN file Instructions. Customization instructions:

I believe he was referring to the following quote.

In any case, according to our communication, when he uploaded your upgrade last night "it didn't work" (lol). I know how much you hate that answer. So, I went ahead and recreated the upgrade from a different source. Although, I find it a little odd that mine worked. Since our upgrades seems to be using the same parameters. The only difference is my file was had a bit more commands, and when I try to import your binaries back through RM; num_8, vol+, and mute all seem be registered with OBC 0. But, that may be an quirk of trying import the upgrade from a binary.

What confused me most last night, was your earlier Zyxel 1001H upgrades used NEC1/190.190 where the archived version uses Sejin-1-56 16.0 protocol. I would have assumed you would have called the archive file something closer to "Zyxel STB-2102 Nano" since the LRZ was created from that model. According to mfiusa in the thread, anyways.

This was an effect of the long running 'discussion' I had with Rob. As you might recall I never upload a Custom Remote unless it has been proven to work. If I found an update file didn't work I used to delete it from the 'Work' section. Rob didn't want me to do that and asked that we keep them. My compromise was to create the Archive section and move them there. So from my point of view any RMDU file in the Archive section has failed to work and shouldn't be issued.

Just for the sake of clarity, I never asked for upgrades to be kept around that had been proven NOT to work. I asked that upgrades not be deleted just because they hadn't been proven TO work.

In other words, just because the OP never came back to verify that the upgrade works is not a good enough reason to delete it IMHO. But, if an upgrade has been proven to NOT work, I'm certainly OK with it being deleted.

Yes, badly phrased on my part. That was my understanding as well.

Right and I applaud both of you two for finding a middle ground which is acceptable. However, that's not where my confusion lies. The name of the upgrade is misleading. It would seem you've given the "archived" version the wrong name, while a fully fledged version exists with the same name. This would lead people to not ever test the archived version. So, we would probably never get confirmation from another party whether or not they actually work. Wouldn't that go against Rob's principle intention of keeping them available for others to try?
