After programming my 15-1995 almost to where I want it (I'm convinced it will never be completely right), I decided it was time to program my 2nd 15-1995 (the one that has the working backlight). Unfortunately even though I downloaded the exact same program to both remotes, only some of the functions worked on the second one.
I noticed there are two different factory ID's in the battery compartment. I had been working with 09A99 all along, and the one that is giving me fits is 07A00. Could these version numbers treat the same code so differently?
After uploading the same program to each, I then downoaded from each remote and sure enough, there were differences in the raw data (but nowhere else). Is there a way to fix this?
I think I did hear about there being 2 different versions, but as far as codes go, etc they are supposed to be the same. Load your files into the Diagnosis Area along with an explanation of what's in each one and what doesn't work, etc.

I discovered that there is a problem in my second remote. In looking at the signal on a scope, the amplitude is much lower, so I'm guessing it's a bad transisitor or ir led (this unit has two). I will do some more checking and let you know.
Anyway, the same IR file DOES work in both versions of this remote, even though they change the Hex code internally.
Also, the reason the remote seemed to work on all but one component was because it was not seeing the IR signal from the RF unit.
The problem was a bad IR led. I saw a post about these LED's but I don't remember if they are anything special. I know this has two, a wide angle and narrow angle, but don't know which is which.
Does anyone know where to get these?
How much current do they draw, in case I can't find one and need to use an extra resistor to limit the current (in place of the extra LED)?
