Is it ironic that the banner ad I am seeing on this page is for DIYGadget's "Deal of the Day" which is a JP1 cable (kit apparently) for $8.99, though it is out of stock and has been for the past few days I've been checking.

Where to get a JP1 cable
I have checked all the sites that sell JP1 cables, as far as I can tell nobodyhas the parallel or serial port version in stock. One site has the USB version, but it is twice the price of the parallel.
