Thanks very much for the thorough reply. Unfortunately I don't really have anywhere I can locate the base station so that it would be pointing at all my devices, this is why I asked about the emitters. The other option I've been considering is getting an IR repeater system.

I am considering buying a couple (maybe 3) of the 9910 to use from various rooms in my house:

Will all of the remotes work with just the one RF receiver/IR transmitter?

Hi,

Sorry to hi-jack this post - I'm very new to JP1, Robman you seem to be quite an expert, I'm interested in purchasing a modded URC-6131n from you. The URC-6131n doesn't have a learning function on it so how would I get codes into in that it doesn't know and others haven't created etc?

Well mine is made from an electronic coin mech routing plug and I found I had to bodge together two of them with a 6 pin dual header attached to an idc type plug as the newer URC-7555 and URC-7780 have small apertures and are keyed differently.
