I have tested every function. Curiously, the on/off button seems to activate the center volume down function. Other than that, no other buttons have an effect on the receiver except the ones I entered from the learned functions, although they do emit a signal.

Ok, I have taken that file (Amp/0013) added my learned funtions, and assigned them to buttons. I pasted the hex and added the new device. I assigned the amp/1030 to my AUD button and uploaded to the remote. I think I got all that correct, right?

Ok, so when I go to enter my learned functions into KM, how do I deal with 2 value buttons like this? I have also put the .ir file in the diagnosis section: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=3757

Thanks for the quick responses guys.
Yes, the battery cover hits a switch to close the battery circuit, but I have checked that to make sure it is working. I have also tried shorting it by soldering a wire across the switch. Still no go. Have used known good batteries too. I am getting good voltage ...

Repairing an older remote
I have a Pioneer CU-AV009 learning remote from around 1990 that no longer works. It does not emit any IR codes and the status LED does not light on each keypress as it is supposed to. A year ago it was working, except a few buttons had to be pressed harder. Now nothing works and it appears to be ...

They are all 1k resistors, the blue ones brand new just out of the box.
Things in the pic are a little twisted, when tested nothing was touching and bare wire was taped. Using a multimeter nothing was shorted out. Still cant figure it out, but the new one works.
Im happy to have one working, but if ...

create upgrade using some learned/some preset?
Ok, my first time. I am in the process of combining several remotes into my RCU810.
For my old dolby prologic receiver (Pioneer RX-760), the original remote no longer works. On the 810, I have been using amp, code 0030 plus a few learned buttons for source, surround, radio.
My question is how do I ...

Simple interface not responding?
Tried to make up the parallel JP1 cable but keep getting "no response from interface." Parallel is chosen in IR.exe and port is enabled.
I checked all pins using an ohmeter, all seems correct. Wires 1 and 2 are shorted (10 Ohm), wire 3 to pin 25 is 10 Ohm, wire 4 to pin 11 is 10 Ohm, wire 5 to pin 4 ...

Noob questions for RCU810 JP1 mod
New member here, done some reading and realize I need to do a lot more :)
I have an RCU810 and the memory seems very limited, so I would like to try soldering on the JP1 connector and doing some reprogramming.
I have used the remotes IR learn function to operate most of my older vcr and prologic ...
