thanks for the info, i'll take a look at it and see if I can figure it out, i'm pretty good at picking stuff up if I have the docs I need, i'll post up on here if I get it myself, and if you happen to have a couple minutes that you absoloutely can't find anything to do with if you could take a look ...

i could live with it, but it but i'd like to be able to get it working properly... could you point me to any applicable documention about re-writing the protocol and i'll see if I can figure it out i'd like to learn anyway... if you could try to point me in the right direction as to where to start ...

funny you should mention that, I tried already none of them seem to do anything, there were a couple that ended up duplicating buttons on the remote in there but that was about it... I don't think I went over 60 some I gave up how high should I go? if I hold down the button on my 8910 it does go ...

I am looking for the more slick way if possible

I know very little about assembler, is there any good docs on assembly for this processor I can take a look at?

the dvd player is a nexxtech DP3222

I built my own upgrade from the OEM remote the 8910 manual doesn't even list nextech but it's using ...

ok now i've got a dvd player that when you hold down a button it goes from chapter skip to fast-froward, i'd like to have these on different keys I assigned the EFC for the chapter skip button on my 8910 and when I hold down that key it works the way the OEM remote works, can I make a button ...

just changed my parents remote out for the one I programmed for them and it's got the exact same profile as the other ones I have all 3 of them... so they must all be the same version... aha mystery solved :)

ok the download of the keymoved one gave no error...
I put my upgrade in and bam it worked, you 0wn rob :)
that probably explains all the trouble I was having with the macros as well


heres what I found:
it's got no heatstamping for the version anywhere on it..
on one side of the battery container ...

rip it apart and get a bunch of pics of the guts and see if you can tell what it is...

both the millennium RDFs I have give the same error i'll try the new version of IR/RDFs when I get home and see if that eliminates the error...

usually the setup button works as a shift key, it will stay shifted till the light timer goes out...
when your building your keymoves or macros or upgrade just choose that the function is shifted and it will do that function when you press that button in shift mode..
as for macros you just go to ...

I did exactly what you said and the remote responding wiht the 2 blinks confirming everything.. (I even used your key examples)
When I downloaded it I got these errors from IR:

"DevType15 4095 is not currently assigned to a device button. Would you like to assign it now? (If not, the Key Move ...

ok definatley a b00...
I did a ff dump to eeprom and then a 981 then downloaded it...
vir-gfh.txt is the file in the diag area...
I need to run i'll have to look up how to do a keymove in the manual or if you want to drop the procedure on here i'll do it when I get home...thanks for all the help.

i was doing some experimenting to see if I could get it to work, any reason you can see that would make the thing reset the code it was using?
when I tried hitting setup and selecting that code manually for TV it gave me a single long blink like an invalid code...
