JP1 Remotes

I double checked, and there is no mention of how to work the learning feature in the manual that came with the remote. My remote is definitely an 8811 (as printed on the back of the remote), so I'm guessing the wrong manual was mistakenly paired with the remote.

The 8811 is promoted as a "learning remote" and has L1, L2, etc keys on it, however, there is no mention in its user guide about learning IR commands from another remote. I will probably order a 6131m, as well as a 8810w if I can find a Walmart in my area. I guess I'll be venturing into the world of JP1.

I am looking for a new remote and the 6131 has been suggested, especially since I am avid user of a Directv Tivo. However, the one feature I am especially looking for is the ability to control or switch the input source for the tv and a/v receiver. I am pretty sure the stock 6131 does not have this ...
