JP1 Remotes

I did as suggested, copyed into IR, and made sure device and setup codes are correct. I am useing Sony advanced codes for my upgrade. But when I paste it into IR. It has device and code on the left, all functions listed , but says unmapped? Sorry if this is a dumb question, did a search, checked ...

Have a 8811, made some upgrades in remote master, I am not sure how to get them to the remote, am useing IR401, interface is good , just do not see how to upload my upgrades, read the read me's and I must be missing something , any suggestions? thanks

Ok ,I can't use the cable,but any idea what the plug is for in battery compartment, the MX700 and so on come with a cable? Of what kind I have no idea, thanks again

Ok I have a MX500, Has a 7 pin jack in the battery compartment. Lokks like a USB type. Bought a JP1 cable from the site, but it does not fit. Do I need a adapter or am I trying to hook up the wrong cable? Any help would be wounderful, Can't wait to get started. Thanks Skittles
