Hello Mark,
Thanks for the info. I've picked up the habit of using new folders from Mozilla. Each new version needs its own folder. I'll change that habit for RM.
Thanks!

RM 0.80 Images Folder Location
Hello -
I installed RM 0.79 first in a directory called "079", and then RM 0.80 later in a directory called "080". Now it appears that version 0.80 is still looking in the Images folder in the "079" directory. There must be some pointer that tells RM what folder to look in for images and maps, but ...

Need Help Modifying Outlaw RDF Memory Map
Hello -
I have both an Outlaw remote and a Catalyst 48 remote, which is the OEM version of the Outlaw. I have been playing around with RM and IR using the Outlaw RDF for both remotes.
However when programming the Catalyst 48, I have found that Key Moves do not work. After searching the archives I ...

Can I Key Move to the Setup Button?
Hello -
Sorry if this question has been asked 1000 times before. I searched the archives as best I could and couldn't find an answer. The closest thing I found was in the "JP-1 for Beginners" document, where it says:
"For example, using IR you can "apparently" program

Re: Questions on Outlaw Remote for RM and KM
Who said they're unique? There's a TV/0000 and a VCR/0000 and they certainly aren't the same setup code even though they have the same 4 digit number.
I was essentially repeating what Mike wrote about 6 posts above:
"While you are technically correct that device types would allow 0571 to exist ...

Re: Questions on Outlaw Remote for RM and KM
You're almost there :?
Hello Mike,
Thanks for jumping in. I'm still not quite there...
I guess that's to be expected from me -- I've finally done my first "upgrade" after 6 months of trying to understand how to do this! :o

Re: Questions on Outlaw Remote for RM and KM
One reason (there probably are more) is to make it easy to change the remote in an upgrade and still have a valid upgrade. Some remotes have many device types (for example the URC-8090 has 15), while others only have a few (for example the 15-2103 only has 4). Without device type aliases, KM and RM ...

Re: Questions on Outlaw Remote for RM and KM
[DeviceTypes]
CBL/SAT = 0, $00
TV = 0, $01
VCR = 0, $02
AUDIO = 1, $03
OEM = 2, $04
That first value after the "=" indicates the ButtonMap entry to be used. The second entry ($00, $01, etc) is the type specifier, which is actually unnecessary since they match the postional arrangement of the ...

Re: Questions on Outlaw Remote for RM and KM
I've looked at this a couple of times and am still confused. :?
If those "device#" entries are actually device buttons, then I don't think they should appear at all in KM. I really need to hear from someone who knows more about the Outlaw and can explain whether those are tradition device buttons ...
