JP1 Remotes

I have tried to do some keymoves (ie. cbl 0877, shift ch+, 057) involving the shift key (which I thought was the P key) on my RS 15-2116 with no success. When I hold down P and press the key (channel up, for instance), the remote does not transmit a signal. Does the shift key have to be "enabled ...

Is the mode you're talking about the same as the device called My System?

Here's another stupid question...Does anyone know what the HT transport, HT volume, HT channel, etc do in IR for the 15-2116? I did a search first but didn't come up with anything (probably because it's so obvious ) I don't have a clue but I feel like they might be very useful.

Since you now have a Mill4 configuration in your 2116, and everything that was in the eeprom as a 2116 is now trashed, you best alternative now is to "purge" the memory with IR, do a 981 type reset to get the eeprom contents back to 'virgin' 2116 state.

Just a stab in the dark, but i know of one scenario that would have produced the results you got before. if you had a Mill4 file opened in IR, and forgot to "download" from remote so IR changed rdf's to the 2116/7 the upgrades you pasted in may have been pasted in a Mill4 setup. How do you get to the hidden Aux button? Where is it or how do you activate it?
I actually bought the RS 15-2116 because the Mill 4 wouldn't do everything but now w/ JP1...it's a whole new remote.

Well that sounds easy enough. Will the TV power button turn on the power to the TV after the initial press to activate the extender or is it permanently a macro button to initiate the extender? Also, does the extender stay loaded indefinitely? It sounds great. I'll post back how it goes after I try ...

Oh I am definitely interested in the extender. It's just that my brain has overloaded a bit. I downloaded the extenders and then got a little intimidated on how to get it loaded. Are there instructions anywhere (for idiots).

Ahhh...makes sense. When I tried doing a key move manually (before JP1), it wouldn't allow it. It's a totally useless key in it's present state, but still a great remote.

Please put this to the bottom of your list. It's a minor inconvenience for me and I greatly appreciate your help. There is absolutely no hurry.

In the mean time, I downloaded the file Robman put up, opened it in KM, copied it to the clipboard, and pasted it in to IR. I received a signature error ...

I posted the file in the diagnosis folder for jamesgammel. It is named twremote.txt . I'm not sure which version remote it is but you can view it at http://www.ueic.com/products/cable/m4.html . The key in question is the fav key as programmed from TW.
