Rob,

I am making good progress with building a complete upgrade for the devices the B208 remote can control (B250 amplifier and related slave devices, B260 tuner, Vinyl player, CD player, Tape 1 and Tape 2), but I need help with the third protocol used by the remote:

All keys in the second shifted ...

Ron,

Congratulations... It works perfectly! If you ever have plans to travel by London, I'd gladly treat you for a beer (or even dinner).

Now, in terms of learning all the keys from the remote, there is a total of 75 different signals the remote can send, which is too much for one IR file, and I ...

Rob, the problem I mentioned exists with both the KM file and the protocol and device upgrades (I only used the KM file to try to understand what the cause of the problem was).

I'm assuming that the new protocol and device upgrades work hand in hand and that I should not mix them with the old ...

Ron, I checked, rechecked, downloaded the latest IR and KM versions, and tried your KM file, but there is still this odd key shift issue (the protocol number is now fine, I just had to check Protocol>FF to get it to work initially)

Maybe this will help trace what's going on:

in KM 8.31, with the ...

Rob,

Thanks for your very prompt turnaround!

The first upgrade code you provided me does fix the issue with the Enter key... wonderful!

I'm having some trouble with the second protocol/device upgrade. First, the upgrade code is looking for protocol 00DC (Rather than 01DC)... If I don't change the ...

Rob,

Thank You! You've nailed it :D ... there are only 3 commands which are causing some trouble among the ones I've tested (I can't test all of them as I don't have the RDS option board) :

[Enter] -- Upon checking, the learned code I sent you didn't work either, and I've posted an updated file at ...

Thanks for your responses.

Rob, I'm not sure I understand which protocol I should try instead...

John,

My most sincere apologies! I have two identical remotes and picked the one without the new protocol to teach my PocketPC!

The code that the CBL 2000 device generates for key 1 is indeed much closer to the one from the original remote:

Original remote:

0000 0024 0000 000e 0001 0036 ...

John, Rob,

I tried the protocol and device upgrade data you provided me, but, unfortunately something seems wrong, and I don't know if a user error or something else. :?

When I configure the new protocol, and device information, my B260 tuner doesn't recognize the new signals at all.

To help ...

Thank you very much for your help!

It will be a few more days before I can try the upgrade protocol and device descriptions, but I'll report the results of my testing ASAP

I must say how you define/create these protocols is a complete mystery to me

Rob,

Eiffel is my username on many HTPC forums, so I'm intimately familiar with the CCF you're referring to ;). Unfortunately, as stated above, the pronto codes in said CCF can't be understood by IRTools :(

The Revox evolution uses a very different protocol, and the CCF for that device doesn't ...

Sorry for not having abided by the #1 Code Search FAQ

Here's the information on the device I'm trying to use (ultimately with an extended remote)

1. Device: Revox B208 remote
2. Type of device: Multiple (B260 Tuner, B250 integrated amp, B226/225 CD, Revox Tape player, Revox Turntable, etc ...

Identifying protocol/device # for a Revox B260 Tuner

Hi,

I would like to use my extended RS 15-2116 to control a Revox B260 tuner, but can't find the codes or protocol to use.

The IR codes are easily learned by my remote. For instance the following corresponds to keys 0,1,2 and Enter

[0]
+20 -456 +20 -138 +20 -138 +20 -296 +20 -296 +20 -296 +20 ...
