Re: Adding a Keyboard Shortcut to a Slingbox Device Button

They didn't hide it. When the shortcut was added, hovering over the button showed the 'T' alternative.

Maybe they didn't update all the DVR remotes or maybe the Mac version just doesn't keep up with Windows. But it doesn't matter to you, right? You have that groovy Mac shortcut for any pulldown ...

Re: Adding a Keyboard Shortcut to a Slingbox Device Button

A recent update to the SlingPlayer added a shortcut for List (T) for the SA8300 -- I thought at my request. What DVR do you use?

Thanks -- Vincent
My DVR is my RCN (cable provider) set top box, a Motorola DCT3416. I use the RCN-Synergy remote deifined by Sling.

The Mac SlingPlayer app is a poor ...

Re: Adding a Keyboard Shortcut to a Slingbox Device Button

I think this is a problem with all DVR remotes, but it certainly is for the one I use, SA8300. That is, there is no shortcut for the List button.

Any ideas how I can add this?

Thanks -- Vincent
This is only a year and a half late but whatever.

I still would guess some operational (aiming the base station) or testing error rather than one of those long shot theories about protocol characteristics.

john, thanks for your response.

My devices are all in my living room on the 1st floor of one side of my house. I can operate the VCR and ...

That's what I was afraid of. I need both discrete power and unit codes which makes the panasonic protocol useless to me. And I need the RF to make the 2117 more useful than the urc 8811's I have been using.

So if I can't somehow get the ReplayTV (Advanced) to work with RF, I guess the 2117's go ...

Try loading the panasonic version of the Replay signal and see if you have better luck with that. Both the Panasonic and Replay signals work all Replay units, but the signals are completely different.

Thanks for the help.

The Panasonic ReplayTV does work with RF. But I don't see any codes in the ...

Trouble with 2117 RF and ReplayTV protocol

I just got a few 15-2117 remotes to use the RF signaling.

I setup 3 TV's, a VCR, and a cable box and all work with both IR and RF.

I used KM to add the ReplayTV (Advanced) $0145 protocol.

I loaded ReplayTV.txt from Files>Device Codes > PVR into KM and set the remote to 15-2117, VCR, 2001, OBC ...

ReplayTV-8811 Key Move Problem

I just tried ReplayTV-8811 for the first time to use the ReplayTV (Advanced) protocol. It is great. Thanks for providing it.

I wanted a few different key assignments so in IR I added a number of Key Moves. All of them work except for one and therein lies my problem.

I cannot successfully assign a ...
