JP1 Remotes

ok that explains it My tv only supports discrete input codes 1-3. I just moved my dvd player to input 3....low tech solution

I'm new, playing around with some of the remotes I've purchased. I have been fooling around with it, reading and testing for 18 hrs and I cannot figure out how to add a function to the device code list I downloaded from yahoo: (Sony_KV-27S66_TV_0000.txt).

The plug area on mine has no other writing besides what is visible in the picture, and it says "JP1" with a white square next to it...I do not know what that square represents. The other markings are 2,5,6.

I don't know all the usual tricks, but I did try with and without batteries. I shut down IR ...

I've been reading the last few days about the Atlas 4 and DVR/5 remotes, and see several people talking about how they reprogrammed them etc. I bought an Atlas OEM by Charter Digital Cable that has the jp1 pins, and I cannot get it to connect.

I've also got a 15-1994 which is working fine with IR 6 ...
