OK, thanks for the ideas. I'm going to read the extender manual some more and try to pin down the best approach .

Thanks for the reply mdavej,

I don't have an OARUSB04G yet, but I used RMIR to set one up with LG TV and Windows MCE upgrades from the files section. I looked at the extender which seems like overkill for my simple needs.

All I want to do is have the remote switch to MCE device control and switch ...

OARUSB04G Question

Hello,
Is it possible to assign simple macros directly to the WatchTV and WatchMovie "activity" buttons using RMIR? I'm considering getting an OARUSB04G to control a kodi/NUC on an LG plasma.

I read in a post somewhere that OARUSB04G macros must be setup on number keys, but I'm not sure if that ...

Another thing you could try is the built in Magnifier (Start - All Programs - Accessories - Ease of Access).
I tried that in the past and could not get the zooming under useful control. It would zoom way to large and modify colors. I may take another look at customizing the Magnifier.
It is the ...

Might I suggest a simple solution? I have the same size screen, and RMIR is perfectly legible on everything from 12" to 55" screens. But I never run it maximized. I think it will look better if you make the window half the width of your screen and 2/3rds the height. This won't increase the font ...

This article is specific to Windows 7, is there anything useful here that you haven't already tried?

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff629368.aspx

Yes, I tried all of those and there was no change in the appearance of RMIR. Actually, my custom scaling was already set at 139%, which ...

Thanks for the replies. I tried the process at the link Robman provided. However, the Compatibility Administrator for Win 7 (v.5.6) does not have DPIUnaware in the Compatibility Fix List, which prevents completing the fix.

I'm looking around to see if I can find something similar for Windows 7.

Thanks Rob. That resize is very much what RMIR looks like on my desktop.

Thanks for the replys. I've posted a screen capture of my RMIR screen taken with alt print screen, but it shows up at least 3X larger in the screen shot than it does on my desktop. If it were this size on my PC I would have no problem.

Is 1920 x 1280 that high of a resolution?
Thanks

Thanks, I tried this but in Windows 7 Home I do not have the option for:
Choose System for Scaling performed by:
I even tried the 640 x 480 option but the font still looks about the same in RMIR.

Please post the version number that you are finding in the RMIR
RemoteMaster v2.04 build 14

I've tried the Windows Zoom feature but that is too awkward to control.

Thanks

I have the same problem with very small font appearance in RMIR running in Widows 7. My monitor is 24" and set at 1920 x 1200 resolution. I tried all of the look and feel settings and they are all about the same.

I have given up trying to setup my Nevo C2 because it is too difficult to read the ...
