Re: Weird RMIR behaviour - 2 Roku upgrades
2. I have tried Leonardo's patch, and it does not work at all, for example it "hangs" (sort of) when selecting the Devices tab.
Not sure what went wrong with your system. I'm quite sure the fix works, even if it doesn't it simply cannot make the UI hang, plus the very same code has been ...

Re: Weird RMIR behaviour - 2 Roku upgrades
I have independently encountered this same issue when trying to add a 2nd device with the same protocol as an existing upgrade. The 2nd one would always be overwritten with the device/subdevice of the first. After struggling a lot with this I found out what the issue was, it's a bug in RMIR, I ...

Please try development build RMIR v3.0.2 that I have posted to the RMIR Development folder on SourceForge. This should fix the corruption of Shift-button44 when included in a controlled or real-time macro. This issue was not specific to that button, it would happen to the shifted form ...

When I load my files from previous versions, the macros get "corrupted" -- for example, instances of "button44" get changed to "Back" and if I change the macros to use "button44" again and send to the remote, they don't work as intended as if the codes being sent are now different. I'm finding some ...

It would be possible for me to force this in RMIR, as for the XSight Lite, but that would remove some flexibility that others may find useful. A common use of controlled macros is to create fast macros in which all the times are zero and forcing the inclusion of a device button before every signal ...

I also found another bug, reported to https://sourceforge.net/p/controlremote/bugs/43/
When using RMIR v2.14.3, with remote URC-7955 (604803), if I try setting up a controlled DSM bound to a shifted key, and then save the file, then RMIR can no loader read the file: "Error loading file". If I set ...

I noticed that RMIR discards the comments in Girr files during import. I fixed the issue and submitted the patch here: https://sourceforge.net/p/controlremote/patches/2/
Patch is also below:

Advice on first JP1 remote
Hello. I am a long time user of Harmony One, which works fine but I'm getting more and more fed up with having a remote that can only be set up via the "cloud" and on top of that the Logitech software is horrible. I started searching for alternatives and recently found out about JP1, which seems ...
