When I attempted to install the extender, I first downloaded and saved the "factory image". Then I chose File>Install extender and pointed to the hex file that accompanied the extender. Then I saved that file, unplugged the remote, and attempted to activate the extender. No joy ...

I had a similar experience with my extended OARUSB04G (which is essentially the same remote as yours if you installed the extender). I managed to get it working again and documented what I did here.

I've been hanging around here for a long time myself. To echo the comments of others, I really enjoy looking in almost every day and will miss the site, and the people who come here, a lot if it goes away.

I'm just following along for fun here, but if you have a learning remote, wouldn't you just learn the code for that button? Or am I missing something?
