JP1 Remotes

First thing I did was to load the upgrade you created with lirc2xml. Unfortunately, while it did see something going thru with mode2, lirc was not able tu understand the keys I was pressing.

I have been using this receiver/remote combo for a while with my Ubuntu box with MythTV. It works fairly well. However, it's not a programmable remote and I wanted to use my newly acquired VUR8 which is JP1.3 in order reduce remote clutter in the living room. :)

I have no other IR receiver to test ...

You can easily add all those missing functions without a cable. Just open the upgrades in RM and enter the EFCs on the remote. You'll have to learn RM when you get your cable anyway.

Good point. I'm very rusty tho. The last time I programmed a remote, it was my old RCU810 in '05 and my 8910/6131 ...

Looks like a great remote. Received it yesterday. I love the build quality and the way you hold it.

Unfortunately my JP1.3 cable is not in yet so I'm trying with the built-in codes.

I was able to program my amp and my TV but I can't find any code that will turn them off. It's only turning them on ...
