Ok, will try, thanks for the tip.

PS: tried and working. I still want to figure out why it didn't work the other way but I'm busy with other stuff right now to investigate it. Noted as a future project.

Thanks a lot guys. I already got good part of the work done, currently I'm doing a PC program to convert a spreadsheet to the code for the Arduino.
The spreadsheet holds Function Name, Sony20 device, Sony20 subdevice, OBC and RS232 command. Most of the code is already written and this program will ...

Ok, got it, Sony 20 is a 20 bits string formed with 7 bits for the OBC, 5 bits for the Device and 8 bits for the subdevice. Bits are inverted, so i.e. 121 decimal is ‭01111001 binary and 10011110 in this format, right?

Making an IR to RS232 adapter

As LG discrete codes are lacking a lot of functions I'm making this adapter to have full control of my device. I will post here my advances and question, and when finished the code and other needed info.

My first question is: there a way to see NEC device/subdevice combinations not in use by any ...

Some serious thread necromancy here.

Have anyone figured is there is any discrete code for Ratio mode "Just Scan"? 16:9 cuts on the borders of my devices and the ·$%@ TV doesn't like to save the ratio configuration.

Have anyone tested the program with Windows 10 x64? I'm trying to have some fun with my Xsight Touch but it doesn't seem to dump ok from the remote, it only shows the remote model on the program title bar and some stuff in the raw data section.

PS: I already tried the Build 5 jar and the reg patch ...

I'm getting this error. Difference with tommy's guide is I just used a idc6 cable I had here, striped one of the connectors, and soldered the cables 2 3 4 and 6 to the corresponding spots. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong?
