Does anyone know if the subject remote supports key moves and advanced codes?

TIA

Are you asking because you're shoping and now wonder if that's a good deal???

If so, look closely at the key layout: direct channel entry is difficult as the numbers
are located at the top and those keys are just ...

Is there anything learned from the JP1 project which may be usefull with my One for All model COARC05G (TheSource.CA branded model 151-8212p) that doesn't require a JP1/JP1.x adaptor cable?

I bet there are people like me who'd prefer the 8 devices unit over the larger one exactly because it uses only two batteries instead of four and hence weights less. The 8820 can be made to have ten devices as well anyway...

As far as i'm concerned there's no difference: when i ordered an URC-8820 the local store called one week later to tell me it was discontinued and he did not mention the larger URC-10820 version so i suppose it's no option as well.

I suppose those who can locate inventory surplus should jump on ...

Plus i have three questions:

1) Why is there a golder pad for U1.15 while it leads nowhere else?
2) Which end is 1st to start a serial dialogue after changing mode?
3) Is a welcome screen (prompt) sent as the serial session begins?

...and maybe some more:

4) Since this could be a next generation ...

Understood but there are some things i want to deal with 1st:

1) let the heat wave pass (next 3 days or so)
2) get more details on the U1.3/U1.4 area
3) get a header installed

Lets recapitulate. That remote control which was sold as an "RCA 5N1 Remote" corresponds to catalog number 151-8212p at TheSource.CA while the package and casing are clearly identified as "One for All", model "COARC05G"; two older units are marked "OARC05G" instead and i didn't look inside to ...

Oh, i guess this means no joy...

Hummm... I wish i got URC-7950 units instead: having clones is less than satisfactory so far.

I'm new around here, maybe it's not worth a mention but i noticed the following passage (Samsung S3F80K9 User's Manual r1.21, page 36 of 328, e.g. 1-10) :

«In the tool mode, P0.0 and P0.1 are assigned as serial MTP interface pins; SDAT and SCLK»

In other words, JP1 pin #5 (S3F80K9 pin #9) affects ...

My appologies everyone, it wasn't that hard to find after all:

The drawing above is my enhanced version of the one from here:

(User's Manual, page 33 of 328, e.g. 1-7)

Hi,

I still have no information about how the micro-controller pins are being allocated. Would you, please, share what you know of the layout using this photograph?:

For example, it's clear we must look at the lower-left corner to find pin #1 ...

Hummm...

It just wouldn't make sense to add a header knowing that this brand/model will refuse to communicate with the JP1 application anyway.

Euh... Tommy, i believe you when you tell me there are no connections made to pins #1 and #5 but then i just wonder why in hell a pair of useless resistors ...

Well, this plug appears to accomodate both round AND square 0.025" pins all together:

DigiKey ED90320-ND aka Mill-Max 0303-0-19-15-16-27-10-0

Finding the right header terminal/plug blocs without having to make any trade-offs is no impossible task, IMHO...
