Bad news: I did do the re-start, and it didn't help.

Good news: I did the Arduino route with an 8266. I needed to re-arrange the code a bit since I use Platform IO instead of the Arduino IDE, but after some fidgeting I built a new cable that worked great.

I'm up and running with RMIR on Windows 10 ...

I was hoping that would be the case, but unfortunately it did not seem to help.

If there are no other suggestions, I'm intrigued by the Arduino idea. Although I do not have (or use) true "Arduinos", I love working with ESP32s and 8266s which run Arduino code. So, I'll give that a shot! Thanks.

Thank you, but the RMIR I tested with on the one PC was version v2.14.15. I'm so use to IR, I didn't mention that. So, for completeness, I tried RMIR (v2.14.15) on both PCs and attempted a download from the remote and got the "No Remotes Found" message.

Other suggestions?

Windows 10 issue with Delcom cable

I finally need to convert over to Win 10, and of course my JP1 Delcom USB cable does not work.

I followed the clear steps in the “Legacy Interface Cables and Windows 10 build 1809” by Vicky (thank you, this was excellent) on 2 PCs running the latest version 10.0.19044. I verified the USB IO ...

Thank you, it had been years since I started with a new remote like this. I tried the install procedure, with little success, then it occurred to me to just copy the .bin file from the old remote without going through RMIR – That Worked Great!

Thanks.

"New" OARUSBO4G not working

I have several OARUSBO4G remotes which work great. I recently purchased 4 “new” spares. When uploading my current RMIR files to the new remotes, they do not work – looks like the extender is not working. The remotes and packaging appear identical (except for the DATE CODE: 4441UE). Additionally, the ...

This may be a stupid question, but I have now converted over to using RMIR, can this KM protocol be used directly? Can it be converted? Or what?

Thanks.

Windows 10 Delcom Driver Error

Since updating to Windows 10, IR has not worked. I get a 'Delcom USB Error: Unable to find Delcom device driver' error.

I downloaded the Wdp64bit driver, and followed the installation instruction (I believe), but when I browse to the Wdp64bit folder, I get 'Windows found drivers for your device ...

It initially didn't work, but with the information you sent I went back to the thread referenced in my initial post. I noticed it had: "Nec2; Dev 234, Sub Dev 194". When I added the Dev & Sub Dev, it worked Great!

Thanks again!!

Thank you! I will give it a shot tonight.

Also, I have the other cable. I have been using the 6690; I just need ROKU on it now. Thanks for pointing that out however.

This forum is great!

KM support of 67100?

I see that there is an extender for the Insignia 67100BA, but I don’t see that remote as a selection in KM. Does KM support it, or what selection do I use? If not how do you use the extender?

If this helps, the button definitions are:
1 - Power
2 - Mode
3 - Oscillation
4 - Up
5 - Down
