JP1 Remotes

Is there any codes that will work with the Comcast X1 cable boxes? I have the one for call urc-6131n remote.

If you complete the template , as Evan has suggested, I confidently predict that you will be overwhelmed with the help you receive.

I was able to learn the remote, I got 90% of the featured learned on the first try. I tell you, that direct tv remote is really horrible.

Keymove the Vol up, vol down, and mute from whatever device the is source of those commands to the directv device. Each command one at a time. Like so:

1. press and hold SETUP for two blinks
2. enter 9 9 4
3. press AUD/AUX device key
4. press VOL UP
5. press DIRECTV device key
6. press VOL UP ...

I now have a new scenario, I have both cable and direct tv, I reassigned the vcr button to the control my direct tv receiver in which I used the learning feature to program the remote. My only problem now is, I cannot get the direct tv receiver to work ...

They may have a code, I'm not sure.

But to answer the question yes you should be able to just learn all the commands you want. The 8820 is a newer remote and should be able to learn a fair ...

What are my options to get my remote to work with the hr20, none of the codes seem to work. Can I just use the learning option?

Yes, the vol works for the aud in cable command.

So what can I do in this case? What does VPT stand for by the way. I think I tried the 994 code the other day and it didn't work. I will try again

When using the cable mode I never had to press the aud button before I hit mute, it worked under the volume lock, both mute and volume. Now I have to hit the aud or aux button before i got to mute in order for it to work.

Correct me if I am wrong, the voulme lock feature is suppose to work with ...

But the mute works under both aud and aux
