Created RID for Tivax STB-T9 but it's not working

In an attempt to use my replayTV with an OTA digital TV converter box (Tivax STB-T9), I followed the process to make a RID file from an RDMU file using RIDGen and Remote master.

I used the Tivax STB-T8 RDMU file Louis Laborde posted in the files section. I figured the IR codes would be the same for ...

Thanks Rob. You've answered every question I had. I hope it's useful to others who read it.

I'm glad I got the remote.

I've tried some of the fancy remotes before and I didn't like anyof them. Any remote that requires you to look at it as you use it or requires 2 hands to opperate is making things ...

Can you build me one too? Are they very expensive or is it just cheaper to buy one from a store?

Thanks!

As The Robaman said, it's cheaper to buy one from the DIYgadget.com

I had the parts lying around. I had the 1k ohm resistors from like 15 years ago when radio shack sold them in a 5 pack for ...

Re: It works

I would recommend that you take a look at the 5 upgrades that we already have for Oppo DVD players to see if they work for you as they are already formatted...

Thanks, I will. I'm not sure how the functions in KM are mapped to buttons. It seems there are a lot of functions listed that don't ...

It works

Thanks to everyone here who contributed something to this project. It made a great remote control even better. It's really so much better than those fancy expensive remotes.

I made the simple parallel cable and it worked great.

One thing to note is that the DSM-520 uses device code 8. I found this ...

Re: 6131

For what it's worth, I just sent in a URC-6131B00 about 2 weeks ago and I got back the exact same remote (except with the JP-1 plug) as far as I can tell.

Me too. I mailed my 6131n back a few months ago and got the same model back with the JP1 connector. I built the simple parallel interface ...

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have not done any experimenting with the tools here. I'll learn how to do it and let you know how it goes.

OFA upgraded my 6131 for DLINK

I mailed my 6131 back to OFA for two code upgrades. One was for an Oppo DVD player (it worked) and one was for the D-Link DSM-520 which is the High Def version of the DSM-320 (It did not work). The DSM-520 does not have a DVD player.

The good news is I now have a JP1 connector on my remote. The bad ...
