Echostar TR-40 - Dish_Network_TR-40_converter KM917.txt
This upgrade for the Dish Network/Echostar TR-40 ATSC to analog converter box. ALL button functions are included from the OEM remote.
Edit: The Power function won't wake up the STB at times. To wake up STB, simply remove power momentarily or try original remote. If this a problem, auto-standby function time can be extended or disabled.
Edit II: As it turns out, the power problem is partially in the TR-40 itself, proven by the fact that even the OEM remote can't wake it up from the "ice cold" state. This problem may be dependant upon the firmware installed, your mileage may vary. Also incompatible is DN's protocol with RM and KM. In RM it causes power function code and devices/subdevices to change (OBC 2, 0x08 changes to 0x0b; Device 0,0 reads back as 0,31). KM's authors mentioned an incompatibiliy with the DN protocol and have done a workaround. Please use Keymap Master instead. I used KM v9.17 sucessfully.
